Grape variety: Schiava (Vernatsch)

This Schiava thrives in Freiberg in Merano at an altitude of 400 meters on porphyry soils, reddish volcanic rock. As a result, it develops a unique, fruity-spicy aroma of cherry, cooked raspberries, graphite, and liquorice.
On the palate, this special combination unfolds with exciting intensity. The wine showcases a harmonious interplay of grippy but elegant tannins and delicate acidity. Above all, the long, complex finish is shaped by the subtle, spicy note that gives the Vulkanit its unmistakable depth and sets it apart from the rest.
