Grape variety: 60 % Pinot blanc and 40 % Chardonnay
Donà Blanc is a blend of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, two grape varieties that have been cultivated in South Tyrol for over 100 years, yielding wines with their unique charm in the right locations. The grapes for our cuvée come from old vines growing in two different types of soil: a mineral-rich, light porphyry soil and a heavy, clay-rich limestone soil. From fully ripe, aromatic grapes, we gently press the juice, which ferments for several weeks in wooden barrels. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally, and through a long yeast contact of 18 months in wood, Donà Blanc develops its exceptional elegance.
In the glass, it shines a luminous gold-yellow and reveals a seductive interplay of aromas of pear, banana, vanilla, butterscotch, and chamomile flowers on the nose. Elegant and smooth, it presents itself on the palate with a fine texture and creaminess, accompanied by a salty-mineral character.
